It's been a while since the last blog. My sincere apologies. I've been busy, uh, washing my hair. Actually, the real reason for my blog tardiness, besides general laziness, is that we've been really busy.
Back in November we finally moved in to our new rental after a touch of drama and homelessness. The first couple of weeks were spent getting everything set up in the new home and trying to get a little settled. Shortly afterwards we had our first squaters. In early December David and Teri (Nadia father and mother-in-law) came to visit and stayed with us. I'll have a seperate blog solely regarding their trip later, as soon as I find out where we stored the pictures. They left Perth in early January and one week later my parents (Sam and Sonia) arrived and are still with us for another week. So, suffice to say it's been a busy time.
Here's a quick summary of our current situation in Perth:
-it's summer and very hot (yay pool!)
-Nadia and I are still working although I'll probably be changing projects within a couple of months
-the kids are starting school in two days (the boys in grade 12 and the girl in 10)
-we've travelled to Rottnest Island, Margaret River and Bali, Indonesia (more on all of these later)
-Keva started a new job at a hair salon
-Zaren and Cyrus are not working but are trying to find jobs
-the World, in fact, did not end on December 21, 2012
-Cyrus may be going to New Zealand in a couple of months (with his girlfriend who is from there)
-we like our house, love our pool and hate our realtors ('hate' may be a little much, perhaps 'loath' is better)
-we had a nice Christmas and New Years (we even had a Xmas tree this year)
-the Flames still suck
-the Oilers still suck more
-we're starting to get the hang of this Australia thing
So, once again, my apologies for blogging so infrequently. But rest asured: soon I'll be blogging more and you'll pine for the days when I didn't.
