And now for something completely different...

We finally got our laptop working (we think) so we're now able to post some photos.  However, before I do I think it's worth mentioning that the customer service in Perth is leaps and bounds better than in Calgary.  Despite the low unemployment rate people here still seem to value their jobs and even the Y-Gens don't act like they're doing you a favor when you want to buy something.

- The view from David & Teri's kitchen window the day before we left.

- Hanging out at the Brisbane airport after we missed our first flight to Perth.  Our plane is on the left over Cyrus' shoulder.

- The Bell Tower in Perth.  Many of the bells were gifted from Great Britain and are from the 16th century.  Behind the tower is the Swan River.

- A street in the CBD (downtown) made up to look like an old English street.

- A couple of cockatoos on the walk from the train to Cottesloe Beach.

- Avert your eyes if you have a sensitive stomach.  Some pale Canadians on Cottesloe Beach.

-  Cottesloe from the other side.  The water was a little weedy on this day but the sand was amazing.

- The view from the upper balcony of our second apartment.  CBD in the background.

- The view from King's Park in Perth looking down on the Swan River and CBD.

- A parrot in a tree at Kings Park.  This was about 3 feet away from us and didn't seem concerned at all.  There were probably about 5-6 of these hopping around this particular tree eating seeds.

- Getting ready to check our luggage at the Calgary airport.  We were on the same flight as Cesar Milan, the Dog Whisperer, and he happened to be standing beside Cyrus.  Kathy was like a war-correspondent photographer and jumped into action and caught the action before Cesar disappeared.
